New Year's Eve 2012

Paul and I were fortunate to spend our New Year's Eve with our Canadian friends (Audrey, George, Jackie and John).  It was a simple, but very nice evening.  We had an early dinner at our favourite restaurant, The Gulfstream Cafe, in Garden City Beach, enjoying a great meal and an awesome evening sky.

From there we drove to Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet to enjoy their first New Year's Eve of strolling through the gardens enjoying the Christmas lights, music and refreshments.  The hot chocolate was very yummy.  The weather was very comfortable and only 1,200 tickets were sold for the event, so the grounds were not crowded.  This allowed us to stroll at our leisure and enjoy the lights.

After returning to our condo, and enjoying some chat and drinks, we all went out on the stairs on the beach and watched the fireworks from Myrtle Beach and Garden City Beach and rang in 2013 together.
