A Tour of our Yard

Come take a little tour and enjoy the blooms in our garden this week. A lot of my perennials have already bloomed for this year with mostly coneflowers, black-eyed susans and tickseed to see. Because of all the rain this summer, we have a wonderful crop of wildflowers on the perimeter of our yard, which we enjoy.

Sedum (donated from my sister's garden)

Shasta Daisy

My New Garden Ornament

Tickseed

Pearly Everlasting

Orange Jewelweed & Tansy Ragwort

Fleabane

Indian Grass

Cattails

This marsh plant I have not been able to identify in my wildflower books

Purple Loosestrife

Buttercup

Another unidentified wildflower

Robin's nest

Fireweed

Another unidentified wildflower

Raspberry

Raspberry and Thistle

Coneflower (donated from my friend Giselle's garden)

Black-eyed Susan, with Bee

I love walking about our yard every day to see what new treasures are in bloom. It always amazes me what can come from a little seed when you add soil, water and sunshine.

  1. Thanks for the tour - the photos are lovely. Awesome job of the bee on the flower - nerves of steel! The yellow unidentified wild flower - could it be Goldenrod?? Will call you later.
