Beresford Beach 2009

Today was cool but sunny so Paul and I thought we would check out the beach to see how much ice was still on the shore. We hoped to take our first walk on Beresford Beach for 2009.

Last week, Easter Sunday, was the last time we checked and there were mounds of ice high on the beach, so we were amazed to find today that most of the ice had washed out to sea and the beach was clear for our walk, but more importantly, treasure hunting.

It was a great mental health walk - the turtle and the snail!

Paul found his first white mermaid tear (sea glass) for 2009....

Most of the ice had washed out, but there were still a few mounds near the picnic area.

It was a great feeling to be back on our beach again.......
