Lighthouse Point, Louisburg, Nova Scotia
While we were visiting Louisburg National Historic Site in Nova Scotia, we discovered Lighthouse Point in the town of Louisburg. This area is wide open to the ocean and has a very nice walking trail. The morning we were there the fog was rolling in, and out, and in, so we had the pleasure of hearing the "fog horn" wailing!
There was a bucket of walking sticks located at the beginning of the trail, which you could "borrow" to use on your walk.
We plan to return one day...

Rita's Tea Room, Nova Scotia
Paul and I made a delightful stop in Big Pond, Nova Scotia to enjoy Rita's Tea Room. It was also an emotional visit, as Cape Breton singer Rita MacNeil passed away on 16 April of this year. Rita will be missed by all her fans. |
The centre tea cup has a "Lily of the Valley" design, which is the birth flower of the month of May. My birthday is 28 May, and it was also the birthday of Rita MacNeil. |
I enjoyed this wonderful meal of quiche and a spinach salad with maple dressing. It was the most decadent quiche I've ever eaten. |
Five Island Park & Lighthouse, Nova scotia
During our visit to Nova Scotia we visited the Five Island Park and Lighthouse area. The scenery was quite lovely. |
