Horry County Museum, Conway SC
In April 2014 the Horry County Museum began work on a 4,400 gallon freshwater aquarium that was featured on Animal Planet’s show "Tanked".
The aquarium is the focal point of the Horry County Museum. Visitors can view the living natural history exhibit and encounter a variety of freshwater fish that are found in local rivers and lakes.
Paul and I make a visit to the Museum last week and found it very interesting.

In A Bulb There is a Flower
In the bulb there is a flower,
in the seed, an apple tree,
in cocoons, a hidden promise:
butterflies will soon be free!
In the cold and snow of winter
there's a spring that waits to be,
unrevealed until its season,
something God alone can see.
There's a song in every silence,
seeking word and melody;
there's a dawn in every darkness,
bringing hope to you and me.
From the past will come the future;
what it holds, a mystery,
unrevealed until its season,
something God alone can see.
In our end is our beginning,
in our time, infinity;
in our doubt there is believing,
in our life, eternity,
in our death, a resurrection,
at the last, a victory,
unrevealed until its season,
something God alone can see.

Brookgreen Gardens Exhibit 2
For the Into the Woods exhibition at Brookgreen Gardens, the Horticulture Department uses natural materials and plants to create a fantasy forest scene complete with a holiday feast for the animals as the centerpiece. The fantasy forest continues outside the window of the gallery to create the illusion of bringing the outdoors – indoors.
Brookgreen Gardens Exhibit 1
At Brookgreen Gardens there were two new Christmas exhibits this year. This is part of the Santa portraits.
Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus, features paintings by Tom Browning, the world's premier Santa Claus artist.
